SUPRACOR-LASIK – Laser eye surgery for correcting age-related refractive errors
SUPRACOR-LASIK is the complementary procedure of choice for age-related defective vision up to + 3 dpt. The procedure is clinically proven: fast, straightforward, safe* and effective*. After only a few hours, good visual acuity is achieved, and reading is usually possible without the aid of reading glasses or contact lenses. SUPRACOR is the individual, personalised LASIK solution for presbyopia.

This is how SUPRACOR works
An excimer laser is used to precisely reshape the cornea to restore near vision. First, a thin flap on the surface of the eye is created. The flap is then lifted and folded back to give the surgeon access to the internal cornea. Now, a computer-guided excimer laser is used to reshape the cornea to the exact measurements needed.
Unlike with other procedures, both eyes can be treated during the same procedure. In addition to LASIK, which corrects refractive errors, the SUPRACOR procedure, carried out at the same time, also changes the refractive power of the central cornea. Thus spatial vision is possible without unwanted optical aberrations within the pupil.
